Hello everybody. How are you today? Hopefully all is well, enjoyed your weekend, and not as hot outside as it was here. In lieu of all the heat here, and me playing a lot of the Zero Collection lately, we’ll mix the two for an RRF. Today’s RRF is: ‘Phoenix Magnion’. Anybody remember this guy? I know i do. This guy here was a major pain in the ass to fight… or at least i’ve never had an easy time battling him, even on easy mode. Phoenix Magnion appears in Zero 2 and works under Fefnir’s army, though before the events of Zero 2, he was a member of Phantom’s army. He definitely needed a new leader… makes sense too since he is fire-based (this means use Thunder). He protects a power reactor which provides power for Neo Arcadia and your mission is to get rid of it… but not if he has anything to say about it. In battle, he’s one of the most irritating fights in the whole Zero series. He’s constantly disappearing and re-appearing in the field… and always disappearing when you try to attack him. He can also split up into 4 holograms, only 1 being the real one of course. This is generally the best way to attack him, though you still have to guess what one is the real one. He also charges across the room in a big fireball. This is also a good way to attack him, but odds are you’re going to get hit in the process as well. He has also has a 4-way attack where he holds Zero in place and summons holograms of Vile/Vava, Agile, Bit and Colonel to attack Zero. If you fight him with either an A or S rank, you can obtain his EX Skill; Tenshouzan. Overall, while he’s an intersting boss, serving 2 of the 4 Guardians, he’s a major pain to fight and he’s one i take great pleasure in destroying, but not so much in fighting.
